    Publication Fee

    The journal does not charge neither publication nor submission fee. The decision on publication is made by the Editorial Board according to the results of an independent review.

    Data depository policy

    Full texts of articles are stored on the journal's server and can be accessed via the website: http://nd.ics.org.ru/archive_nd/. Information on all articles published in the journal is also stored in the scientific electronic library eLIBRARY.ru and in the All-Russian mathematical portal Math-Net.Ru. In the these information systems you can perform an advanced search for the journal's articles (using keywords, author's name, title, section etc.) and, using the link on the individual page of the article, you can access it.

    Peer review process

    The main type of review used by Russian Journal of Nonlinear Dynamics is single-blind review. This means that the reviewer knows who the author of the paper is, but the author does not know the identity of the reviewer.

    Primary processing: the editorial board gives a preliminary assessment of the manuscript with respect to the subject area and the main requirements of the journal and takes a decision as to whether or not the manuscript shall be accepted for consideration.

    For papers that comply with the formal requirements, the editorial board prepares a list of possible reviewers. Manuscripts can be assigned for review both to members of the editorial board and to specialists in the subject area of the paper. The referee shall be an internationally recognized expert conducting an active research activity. He shall not be an employee of the same department as the author of the manuscript, his coauthor in recent publications or maintain a close scientific cooperation with the author for the time being etc. The review shall meet the following requirements: assessment of topicality, novelty, the scientific level of the study and quality of exposition of the study.

    The additional review is required in cases where: a subjective criticism makes itself evident and an emotional assessment of the author’s work predominates in the first review; the author raises justified objections concerning the negative opinion of the first referee(s). The rights of referees to confidentiality shall be respected.

    The editorial board shall send the review to the author and request him/her to improve the manuscript according to the referee’s and editorial comments. Editorial comments are concerned with the compliance with general formal requirements of the journal, regarding the list of references, formulae, exposition and structure of the paper. The accepted paper is published in the next issue of the journal.

    Online First Publication

    Articles accepted for publication will now be available online prior to their inclusion in a journal volume/issue which expedites access to the latest peer-reviewed research and reduces time between their submission and publication.

    We publish each accepted article as soon as it is ready, i.e. after a proof has been corrected and finalized.

    Online First article is searchable and citeable by journal title and DOI. Information such as volume, issue, and page numbers are not assigned to Online First articles, therefore these manuscripts should be cited as follows:

    Authors, Article Title, Journal Title, Year, DOI

    After the article is assigned to a particular issue, new citations contain data such as volume, issue, year and page numbers:

    Authors, Article Title, Journal Title, Year, Volume, Issue Number, Page numbers

    Please note that Online First articles appear in their final form. Therefore, papers cannot be changed or withdrawn after electronic publication. Any corrections can be made only as an Erratum (or an Addendum), which will be hyperlinked to the article.

    The list of papers published Online First can be found on the homepage of the journal (by clicking Online First Articles). Once an Online First article is assigned to its issue and given its bibliographic data, such as volume, issue, year and page numbers, it is removed from the list of Online First articles and placed in the corresponding issue.

    Guidelines for Manuscript Submission to the Russian Journal of Nonlinear Dynamics

    • Manuscripts are accepted for consideration with the understanding that they have not been published previously and are not being considered for publication elsewhere. All manuscripts shall be submitted to the editorial board via the On-line submission system on the homepage of the journal. In the private office you can keep track of the current status of your paper, respond to referee’s comments and download the revised versions of your paper. Online submission is a preferable system for submitting manuscripts to the editorial board. It has been developed for convenience of authors and editors. If for any reason you cannot use the interactive form, manuscript may be sent to the editorial board at editorial@rcd.ru.

    • The text of the paper should be submitted in electronic form, preferably in LaTeX format by using ND template files or with Overleaf service (please use TeX Live 2020 settings for correct compilation). At the stage of initial submission to the editorial board, the authors should upload only a pdf-file containing the entire paper, including figures, tables and the list of references. LaTeX source files should be sent after the editorial board has decided to publish the article. If you have any questions regarding preparation of manuscripts, please do not hesitate to contact us by email: editorial@rcd.ru.

    • The following data should be given on the first page of the paper:

    • — title of the paper;

      — information on each of the authors: full name (surname, first name, and patronymic), e-mail, affiliation, exact postal address of the organization (example: Universitetskaya 1, Izhevsk, 426034, Russia);

      — abstract (volume: no less than 250 words and, as far as possible, without formulas and references to bibliographic sources);

      — keywords.

    • Also, please indicate codes of the Mathematics Subject Classification 2010 (MSC), which can be found from the link;

    • Figures are accepted in EPS format with a resolution of 300-600 dpi. Please note that colored figures will be placed only in the electronic version of the journal and that all figures in the printed version will be in black and white. Parts of a figure shall be labeled with Latin low-case letters of Roman type in parentheses, e.g., (a), (b).

    • References to the literature, formulas, figures, tables, sections of the paper etc. shall be generated automatically. References to parts of a figure shall be labeled with Latin low-case letters of Roman type without parentheses and without a gap after the number. The list of references should be in alphabetic order or in the order in which they appear in text.

    • In addition to the paper, the authors may also attach animations, video files, audio files or any other additional information for placement on the journal’s website.

    • The authors are encouraged to propose one or several possible reviewers during paper submission; however, this does not mean that the editorial board will assign the paper to the reviewers proposed by the authors.

    • All source files should be uploaded via the private office after the paper has been accepted for publication (the author responsible for correspondence with the editorial board will receive an e-mail to this effect).

    Please pay attention to the list of the most typical deficiencies found during the primary review of manuscripts. A manuscript cannot be accepted for consideration until these deficiencies have been eliminated:
    — the abstract is less than 250 words and provides no information on the obtained results;
    — the introduction does not describe how the proposed results are integrated in the modern scientific process, what place they hold, and what they are needed for, in other words, the introduction does not describe the motivation for the study;
    — the list of references does not mention recent publications in international scientific journals covering the subject area of the paper;
    — presentation of the material does not allow one to clearly distinguish between new results and those already well known.
